White River at Ravenswood. White River at Noblesville. ...The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in Indiana... White River at Anderson. .Moderate flooding continues on the White River, with all gages now below major flood stage. The crest of the White is at Centerton as of early Monday afternoon. The crest is forecast to reach Spencer Tuesday evening and points downriver thereafter. Additional rainfall later this week could lengthen the amount of time in flood and possibly raise downstream crests. * WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...White River at Noblesville. * WHEN...Until tomorrow evening. * IMPACTS...At 17.0 feet, Extensive flooding occurs in both Riverbend and White River campgrounds. High water affects two businesses near SR 19 on the west side of Noblesville. Roads in residential areas of Riverwood, Clare, and Strawtown begin to flood. Flooding of roads begins in residential areas of Trails End near E 116th Street, near East 146th Street, and in gravel pit areas along the White River from East 96th Street north to Noblesville. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 10:45 AM EDT Monday the stage was 17.1 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 10:45 AM EDT Monday was 20.7 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage tomorrow morning and continue falling and remain below flood stage. - Flood stage is 14.0 feet. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood Information: Even 6 inches of fast-moving flood water can knock you off your feet and a depth of 2 feet will float your car. Never try to walk, swim, or drive through such swift water. If you come upon flood waters, stop, turn around and go another way. Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive cars through flooded areas. Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.
